A Second Interlude

"Those who believe they believe in God but without passion in the heart, without anguish of mind, without uncertainty, without doubt, and even at times without despair, believe only in the idea of God, and not in God himself."
-Madeleine L'Engle

Thank you so much for posting this quote, Ms. L'Engle is humming the same tune that's been playing in my head this past year or so.

To truly believe in God, to know him. My goodness, what a thought.

This quote was one of my saving graces when I was most struggling to believe in God. There is such comfort in knowing that faith and love are born not just in sublime moments, but in an all out fight to believe. It certainly makes me feel better!
